Happy Fourth of July

My dearest readers Happy Fourth!

I am so excited to share what FUN we had on the 4th of July. As a bilingual/ multi-cultural family a lot of you may wonder

1) what it means to this family to celebrate Independence Day and
2) how we do it!

Well as some may know my dear hubby is from another country and I am 100% made in the good ol’ USA. I have a special place in my heart for this holiday. I have a background in social science, and history and love all things old. My husband became a US citizen through Naturalization last year and my Buttercup and I were born citizens. We love this country my husband especially and…
So we celebrated like most families around this country did:

We grilled or had a cook-out (depending what part of the country you are from)

And although I am 100% Yankee my daughter is a southern belle and as country as they come so in her honor we ate cake on the bed of a truck.

Like great Americans we played with fireworks.

and Watched the fireworks and spent an amazing time with great friends.
